Practical Information > Trip to Port aux Rocs

The Domaine de Port aux Rocs is located in an exceptional setting by the sea, on the Croisic peninsula. This area, situated in the west of Loire-Atlantique, charms visitors with its wild coastline, picturesque harbor, and rich maritime heritage. Between beaches, coastal paths, and salt marshes, it offers a preserved natural environment ideal for relaxation and exploration. Served by trains since the late 1800s, some say the local heritage has so captivated decision-makers that they established a TGV station there as early as 1986.

Train

Le Croisic TGV station (3 hours from Paris), also accessible via TER trains from Nantes and Saint-Nazaire. Located 3.4 km from the Domaine de Port aux Rocs, you can take bus 30 (every 40 minutes) to get there in about 13 minutes.
A shuttle service will be arranged at two different times if the bus capacity or frequency proves insufficient (details to come).

This option is highly recommended for ecological reasons as well as convenience!

Car

No problem coming by car — the site has three different parking lots. You’ll also get to enjoy beautiful views of the coastline along the final kilometers. Expect about 1h20 from Nantes, 4h40 from Bordeaux, or 5h from Paris.

Bicycle

For the adventurous, it’s entirely doable... and the region’s cycling paths are beautiful and often well maintained (e.g., Loire à vélo - Orléans/Clermont, Vélodyssée - Bordeaux/Toulouse, Vélomaritime - Brest/Lille, Scandibérique - Paris/Reins)
